Accuracy
We aim to make a reasonable effort to verify factual claims and distinguish established information from opinion, interpretation and personal experience.
When an article discusses current events or changing information, sources should be assessed for credibility and relevance.
Islamic and Religious Content
Islamic scholarship contains different schools of thought, interpretations and scholarly opinions on some subjects.
Unless specifically identified as such, content published by Niqab.ca should not be understood as a fatwa or as a substitute for advice from a qualified Islamic scholar.
Where significant differences of scholarly interpretation are relevant to a subject, we aim to acknowledge them rather than present one interpretation as universally accepted.
Opinions and Personal Experiences
Articles may occasionally contain personal experiences, commentary or guest perspectives. Such views belong to the relevant writer or contributor and do not necessarily represent every Muslim woman, every woman who wears niqab, or all Muslims.
Respect and Dignity
Niqab.ca seeks to discuss women, religious practices, cultures and communities respectfully.
We welcome disagreement and thoughtful discussion, but content intended primarily to insult, demean or promote hatred toward individuals or communities is inconsistent with our editorial approach.
Corrections
Despite reasonable care, errors can occur. If a significant factual error is brought to our attention and verified, we aim to correct it appropriately.
Artificial Intelligence and Editorial Tools
Niqab.ca may use digital and artificial-intelligence tools to assist with research, drafting, editing, translation, illustration or content development.
Material prepared with such assistance remains subject to editorial review, and the use of technology does not remove our responsibility to strive for accuracy, fairness and appropriate sourcing.
